Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) compliance continues to be a complex and frustrating aspect of workers’ compensation claims practice. Wherever you look, there is just no shortage of Medicare problems complicating, or even preventing, claim settlement. Further, CMS’ approaches and policies continue to mystify the workers’ compensation practitioner on many levels, and for many reasons. Navigating the Medicare madness requires an understanding of current Medicare problems and issues – what they are, why they exist, and what solutions may be available to optimize claims settlement and minimize liability. This webinar presents 10 major Medicare issues currently impacting claims and settlement practices.
Mark Popolizio, Esquire is Section 111 Senior Legal Counsel for Crowe Paradis Services Corporation (CPSC). Mark is a nationally recognized authority in Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) compliance. While in private practice, Mark represented numerous carriers, third party administrators and self-insureds. Since 2006, Mark has dedicated his practice exclusively to MSP compliance working with carriers, self-insureds, TPAs and other claims professionals in addressing MSP compliance issues.
